Fforest Fawr Geopark recently participated as one of three pilot areas in a UNESCO led project looking at the effects of Climate Change on the natural and cultural heritage of UNESCO designated sites within the UK. The other two pilot areas were the North Devon Biosphere Reserve and the Hadrian’s Wall sector of the Frontiers of the Roman Empire World Heritage Site.

The Geopark is supportive of UNESCO’s Sustainable Development Goal 13 which seeks to ‘take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts‘.
